123iMP didn't start as a grand vision, developed over years of focus groups and market testing. No. 20,000 product trials, similar to Thomas Edison's heroic quest
to invent the incandescent light bulb. Rather, 123iMP grew out of a chance
meeting between two pioneers of innovative event technology.
Each had their own product to help shows run smarter and better. Together, they realized, a joint effort could revolutionize how producers, attendees and
exhibitors interact at events - and create outcomes that are more successful
(and profitable) for all.
Bob happened to be nearby. Fred said, "I have something just as cool - let me show you!" The "show-you" was Bride2Scan, a QR code system Fred used at
his bridal shows for attendees to purchase tickets and, at the events, gather information by scanning QR codes with their phones.
Bob and Fred instantly realized the potential in integrating their platforms. Several initial events proved worthy test runs for the new product, which provided online ticketing, two-way QR code scanning, and additional data collection via prize kiosks. Customers instantly received a detailed database, something never accomplished by only selling tickets on site.
